Zoom Zoom it’s almost the middle of JULY!!

The Brookings Outdoor Pool is up and running.  The water temp has been higher this year (hope I didn't just jinx it!)  And I've been at the pool religiously!  Good Girl!!

Last week our Aerobics teacher had to go out of town.  So I filled in for her.  My goal was to have at least 3 students in the pool for her when she got back ... CHECK!  Today, she’s back and  36 aerobics students showed up in the pool!!  Thank goodness she was back - I'm sure I'd be hiding in the changing room with that many students waiting for me!

I have a new adventure in my life!!  This fall I'm going to be teaching a 'Better Bones and Balance' class for the local Community College.  Better Bones and Balance is a national class.  Brookings lost their BBB teacher - moved out of the area.  And a friend said, "we've got to get Doni to teach that."  So-o-o 3 months later I'm in!  I have taught taichi and water aerobics ... and hoping this is as easy as it seems??  I'll keep you in the loop.

DH was headed to town and I jumped in the car and had him drop me at the main entrance to Harris Beach Park. (Less than a mile away!)  Then I walked around and through the park, down to the beach and back up, ending my walk  walking out of the park on the secret entrance that our neighborhood street meets at 101.  (an hour later!!)  It was a GREAT day.  Here are some of the photos I took.  Gorgeous scenery!

The Sunset Trail - those dandelions are 12" tall!!

I used to hike this trail with CY - but it was in better shape then.  I'm pretty sure today was the last time I walked it!!

But here we go!  Alot of the asphalt trail has slipped off over the years.

                                                      Lots of zig zagging!

                                                        Way up high!

Stone steps!!

The last leg - I made it!!

On the sand looking back at the trail.  Whew!! Made it!!

Best Picture this year!!
A sea stack with lots of Pelicans nesting!  I've never seen this many on the same rock!!  Looks like a cartoon character's hair!! Ah- the Oregon Coast

Whoever comes down to the beach - has to go back up
This is the Forest Trail.

Thanks for joining me!
